Profile and Life Story of Masego Keorapetse Phillip Matseke

EARLY LIFE
Masego Keorapetse Phillip Matseke was born on the 21st January 1981 in Donsonville, Soweto. He was the first of the three children born by the Late Mr Sekgothe Richard Matseke and Mrs Kegailwe Elizer Matseke.

PERSONAL LIFE
Masego was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle and friend, he cherished his family deeply and was their pillar of strength. He was a loyal friend who showed up, listened, advised and celebrated others’ successes. His kindness, humour and calm demeanor left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

FAITH
His faith in God was the foundation of his life, he trusted in God’s plan, walked in humility and sought to live a life that honoured him. His favourite scripture, 2 Timothy 4:7, was a reflection of how he lived with purpose, perseverance and faith.

A DISTINGUISHED CAREER
Masego was a management consulting and technology leader with over two decades of experience across multiple industries. He was respected for his strategic thinking, ability to solve complex problems and his passion for delivering value and leading teams to achieve extraordinary results. He had a proven track record in technology strategy, business process design, programme management, portfolio management and financial services transformation. He was a trusted advisor to executive leadership and a mentor to many.

• Over 20 years of professional experience across top organizations. • Held leadership roles at Nedbank, Absa Group, Deloitte, Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd and Nokusa Consulting. • Skilled in leading large-scale transformation and technology initiatives that delivered measurable impact. • Known for building strong teams, developing talent and fostering collaboration. • Respected for his integrity, professionalism and commitment to excellence.

EDUCATION
He started his schooling at Reneilwe Primary school in the year 1986 and completed his primary Schooling at Babuseng Primary School. He then proceeded to Ntebogang Middle School for two years and attended Prestige College in Hammanskraal which is where he did his remainder of his high school and completed his schooling in 1998. In the year 1999 he started his university life at the University of KwaZulu-Natal where obtained hi Bcom in (Business Information Systems) Information Systems and completed in 2002. He then furthered his studies with WITS Business School where he obtained his Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (PDBA) in 2005. At the time of his passing, Masego was a registered MBA student with WITS Business School

A LASTING LEGACY
Masego’s legacy is one of service, leadership, faith and love. He leaves behind his Mother, sister Boitumelo , brother Olebogeng and a beautiful daughter Oreatlie. His light will continue to shine in the lives he touched. Beloved son, brother, father, uncle, friend, mentor, leader, inspiration.

He was a visionary leader, a dedicated professional, a devoted family man, a son, a brother, a loving father, an uncle and a loyal friend and a man of deep faith and integrity. He lived a life of purpose, driven by love, excellence, compassion and a commitment to making a meaningful impact in every space he touched. A respected strategy and technology professional, Masego built a distinguished career spanning over two decades across leading organisations including Nedbank, Absa Group, Deloitte, Eskom and Nokusa Consulting. He was known for his sharp mind, strong work ethic, mentorship, and unwavering dedication to his family, colleagues and community.
